Job Description

What's in it for you?

Working in a team of 2 people, you will report to a senior recoveries manager and you will have accountability for your own portfolio of non-performing loans.

The role is broad and there are lots of opportunities to develop. One such way will be increased accountability for more complex cases. Secondly, we work closely with colleagues in development and commercial lending, and so career opportunities are not just limited to residential lending.

What will you be doing?

  • You will deliver a key role in the credit function, supporting and managing non-performing Real Estate debt. You take pride in delivering an exceptional customer journey, in often difficult circumstances.
  • You will build a strong working relationship with the customer team, working in collaboration to identify loans reaching maturity that may need your expertise
  • Be proactive as you monitor and act upon non-performing loans. Including instructing solicitors, receivers, administrators and other third parties. As well as monitoring payment performance, arrears management and recommending strategies for loan recovery.

Qualifications

Ideally, you’ll have

✅ Experience working with insolvency practitioners and by extension, receivers, administrators etc.
✅ A good understanding of legal processes and requirements regarding non-performing loans
✅ Shortfall recovery experience
✅ A joy for working with high levels of detail and complexity
✅ A strong team player ethos, with the ability to collaborate with peers across teams
✅ The innate ability to take ownership of resolving issues and bring solutions to the table
✅ A desire to continually improve our processes by suggesting improvements
