Job Description
The main part of the role is for a Quality Control Editor to manage the photography editing. Photoshoot editing is completed over night and requires quality control checks, touch ups and minor editing and exporting in the mornings starting 8am. This is the most important job in the company and requires an eye for detail, diligence, patience, a good demeanor and willingness to learn.
The right candidate has a passion for and interest in working with real estate photography and wants to help grow the company. This is a contracted position, and has a wage to accommodate training in the position. Wage increase will occur after a trial period of three months.
If you are the right candidate for the job, I will be happy to work with you to develop real estate photography skills as needed.
Skillset
You must have a willingness to learn on the job, strong verbal communication skills and have background knowledge and experience in photography, editing with Adobe Creative Suite, use of Google apps, Facebook Messenger, and office management.

I am looking for someone who is caring, compassionate and capable. You will be interacting with people regularly, and many from different backgrounds who could be going through extremely tough moments in their lives. You will need patience, a calming affect and the ability to problem-solve quickly without getting overwhelmed and stressed. Managing multiple tasks at once with an organised and positive attitude is absolutely necessary. Being a self-motivated learner who is reliable, responsive and responsible is of utmost importance.
While all of this is serious and important, if you're the right person for the job, you are also fun, dynamic, able to learn from mistakes and let go of difficulties to move on. Having a sense of humor is essential!
Deal Breakers
You must have these qualifications to apply:
- You will need your own high functioning, fast computer, 1TB of onboard or portable storage and fast internet (100+Mbps UPLOAD speed.)
- You must have expertise in photo editing with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, as minimal training will be offered. Skills like item removal, pen tool work, colour correcting and image transformation are just a few skills necessary to fulfill the needs of this role.
- You will be expected to communicate with photo editors through Facebook messenger to complete editing, so you will need a Facebook messenger account.
- You need to live in Calgary and the area, as I do meetings in person.
- You will need availability to begin working 3-4 days a week to start, increasing to 7 days a week after training is complete.
- This is a contract position, beginning as a trial of 3 months, and then moving into a full year position. You will need flexibility in your schedule to accommodate this
- The ability to work from 8 am to 11 am each day, available 7 days a week to start. Working time will increase to 4 or more hours a day as photography jobs increase.

Additional Assets

- experience or interest in helping to run a business. This position could transition into full time photographer with the right candidate.
Responsibilities
-upload and download large folders up to 5 gigs
-manage photo and file storage with google
-editing exterior photos
-social media uploading, including website, Instagram, Facebook, etc.
-tracking editing, expenses, working hours, reporting
-communication with editors to do fixes
Salary: From $20.00 per hour up to $1000/month. Fixed time each day, days with more work are offset by days with less work
