Type of Position: Estates Administrator - Worthing

Estates Administrator (Part-time) - Worthing
Our client based in Worthing is looking for an Executive Assistant to work within their Estates team on a part time basis of up to 3 days per week. For this position, the successful candidate will have plenty of attention to detail, ability to hit deadlines, good IT knowledge and be organised. You will also need good communication skills with ability to work on your own initiative and as part of team.
About the role
This is an administration role and the key responsibilities are as follows:-
- Providing bookkeeping for a portfolio of Estates, Trusts and Power of Attorney cases, maintained via a software package, Isokon – initially inputting assets and liabilities of new cases onto the system and updating these as and when they are sold/encashed/transferred.
- Preparing statements through Isokon for Co-Executors, Co-Trustees, and beneficiaries. This will also involve liaising with the investment arm to obtain valuations of the investments held.
- Following procedures to open and close files for all cases and ensuring appropriate diary messages are maintained for the cases.
- Co-ordinating, when instructed, with the sale or purchase of investments held within the cases.
- Arranging, when instructed, to make bank payments or distributions from the cases, liaising with the bank and arranging for any cheques to be paid in. Reconciling the bank accounts is also required each month.
- To maintain internal records on the company systems, reflecting new appointments/revocation of the Company as executor, trustee and attorney.
- Any other reasonable and comparable duties as required.
Essential Criteria
- Attention to detail, ability to hit deadlines, organised and be able to touch type.
- Good communication skills with ability to work on own initiative and as part of team.
- Able to navigate and use to a proficient level Microsoft word and excel
Desirable Criteria
- A knowledge of bookkeeping principles though full training will be provided.
Location
This position is based in our clients head office in Worthing. The role can also be flexible in terms of office hours and homeworking.
