As well as the ranger base at Fyne Court, you will be working at a variety of sites across the Quantock Hills – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that features heathland and woodland sites that are designates as Sites of Special Scientific Interest and require specialised care. We have big ambitions for improving these sites for nature and are currently developing wild flower meadow creation and woodland restoration plans following a large loss of ash trees from our sites. The National Trust also own two sites on the Blackdown Hills AONB – Wellington Monument and Quartz Moor, which are important areas of acid grassland and marshland habitat.
