RAN Operations Transmission Specialist
- Develop and implement the Operational Support Model for backhaul transmission designs such as IPSec, DHCP and PKI platforms.
- Working with the Design Authorities, ensure a precise software and hardware upgrade roadmap is in place to maintain vendor support and meet operational service requirements.
- Working with first-line ITIL functions and external vendors, supporting problem management investigations and collaborating with Design and other internal support functions.
- Identify improvements in transmission reliability and security, ensuring any subsequent programme delivery is undertaken using time, cost, and quality principles and updating relevant risk assessments.
- Drive resolution of major service/risk escalations and implement recovery actions.
- Run within unilateral supplier/vendor governance ORMs for transmission services.
- Deliver operational Service Designs for various new RAN projects and introduce them into operational in-life service.
- Strong skills in building the case for change, drawing on data and analytical techniques where appropriate, and communicating this to business audiences.
- Strong skills in linking the driver for change back to the end-customer experience and identifying required changes to processes and, where needed, contractual scope.
- Knowledgeable in business strategy, organisational performance drivers, and financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business cases).
- Strong communication and presentation skills at all levels.
- Operational experience as a mobile operator.
- Experience working with outsourced partners / managed services partners.
- Experience with RAN technologies and transmission technologies, including IPVPN and IP networks.
- Experience with mobile operations processes, such as ITIL.
- Good commercial acumen.
- Experience working with mobile joint ventures
- Experience working on contractual scope requirements, definition and documentation
- Experience using encryption methodologies
- Experience working in process transition and transformation environments
