To undertake a broad range of non-clinical and clinical duties to support the diagnostic imaging services team, ensuring patient centred care is at the forefront at all times. The post holder will work closely with the Radiology Clinical and Administration Teams throughout the department and in liaison with ward staff
The successful candidate will work as an integral part of a dynamic Radiology Team, providing a comprehensive support service to the Imaging Department. The role will include working closely with the MRI, CT, Ultrasound and other teams across multiple sites including Blackpool Victoria Hospital, Whitegate Health Centre, Fleetwood Health & Wellbeing Centre and Clifton Hospital. Duties will include general patient care as well as entering patient data into the Radiology IT system.
Any previous experience of similar roles would be desirable but full training will be given.
Flexibility to work long days which will include weekend evenings is essential as is the ability to travel between community sites in the Blackpool and Fylde area.

Applications are invited for the position of Radiology Support Worker
The successful candidate will join the Diagnostic Imaging team in providing support and assistance to patients attending different imaging departments within Radiology including Ultrasound, mammography, X-ray, CT and MR modalities. There is an expectation that your duties will extend to some of the community hospitals and health centres where imaging is undertaken. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment that is challenging, rewarding and enjoyable, an environment where your professional skills are respected. You should be enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated, and possess excellent communication skills and insist on the highest standards of patient care. Training will be given as part of the job role as you progress through each department. The Radiology Directorate delivers the extended working day/week in order to maximize service delivery. Therefore, a flexible, professional approach is essential together with enthusiasm and self-motivation. Flexibility is key to the role.
Working hours will be between 8am and 8pm Monday to Sunday on rotation
