Job description
Appplications are invited from suitable candidates who wish to join the Radiology Department in the position of Porter. We work around a 7 day week and extended working day.
The department team currently consists of 22 permanent porters (14 full-time & 9 part-time). Vacancies in this area are rare and this is an excellent opportunity for you to join our friendly team of porters and radiographic staff. Patient handling and other essential training will be covered in the Trust Induction.
Applicants must have good communication skills, should be neatly presented and should be willing to work as part of a team. The role is very physical and involves a lot of manual and patient handling/ moving tasks. Previous experience of working with the public and in a hospital setting is essential.
