LivingCare is currently recruiting a General Radiographer to work within their imaging departments at Leeds and Sheffield.
This position is available on a part time basis with a competitive salary dependant on experience.
Job Role:
- Cover plain film service of Living Care Leeds with future rotation in Sheffield. Current cover will include providing X-ray and Fluoroscopy service to private, sports and NHS patients.
- Administrative duties attached to the plain film service. This includes, but not limited to, completion of paperwork, protocolling requests prior to booking, list organisation, stock management and organisation of services/fault management.
- Daily, weekly, and monthly QA of relevant equipment where required.
- Relevant audits associated with plain film imaging and shared departmental audits.
- Assist with the broader imaging service when service need requires, this may include chaperoning Radiologist led US lists, working with the MRI team and assisting the administrative team with referral management.
- There may be the opportunity to rotate within MRI if an individual expresses interest.
- The acute sports bookings are handled via a work phone, and this is shared amongst the imaging and administrative team, there will be an expectation that the successful candidate will join this rota.
- No current plain film out of hour work in place however, there will be the occasional opportunity to assist on a weekend MRI list at an enhanced rate.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment within the x-ray and screening room.
- Participate in CPD
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Experience working in X-ray and screening as post graduate level for more than one year.
- HCPC registered.
- Good communication and able to work effectively in a small team.
- Able to work within the needs of the imaging service.
Desirable:
- Involvement in QA
- Experience in audits
- Confident working independently
- Experience of private sector
