An exciting role for a technology enthusiast, interested in learning and writing about innovative technologies being developed in the UK. It is also an opportunity to learn about the UK Research & Development (R&D) tax legislation, and how this legislation is applied and rewards the companies that carry out the R&D.
The role is ideal for a Computer Scientist or other engineering university graduate
who is interested in gaining a broad knowledge of current R&D areas. It will involve collaboration with a large PwC team of legislation and technology experts.
Typical activities to be performed include:
Join technology interviews and write detailed notes
Write initial drafts summarising the technology interviews
Research to help summarise the technology terms discussed
Write documents that summarise the R&D analysis process
Work with tools [e.g. Power Point] to prepare presentations
Preparation of emails to send to engineers being interviewed
On the job training to learn and summarise areas of technology
Optional: Work with tools [e.g. Excel or Alteryx] to help quantify R&D
Requirements
Effective verbal and written communication skills (English)
Computer science or other engineering related university degree or masters
Strong technical documentation writing skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google’s office suite
Optional: Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (or Alteryx) tools

Education
Degree or Masters in a computer science or engineering related discipline
