Job description

We are recruiting a Business Improvement Analyst to join our business improvement team. The role may require visits to various UK offices and is available for remote / hybrid working.

What can you expect?

As a Business Improvement Analyst with Mercer you will be:

  • Taking responsibility for defining and implementing initiatives to support Operations business plan, including collaborating with colleagues across Operations to develop new client opportunities, ensuring appropriate design and effective delivery of the function’s component in each cases.
  • Developing efficient and robust ways of working through lean process definition and utilisation of relevant tools.
  • Enabling compliance with corporate, regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Providing technical and subject matter expert input.
  • Implementing and maintaining policies, processes and quality assurance frameworks to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and scalability within parameters set by the Executive.
  • Managing smaller projects, lead project work streams or to Be an active participant of projects, playing a key role in project work streams and leading on these as identified by Manager.
  • Finding solutions to problems by challenging the status quo, providing an environment which supports creativity and innovation and sharing good practices and innovation across the business.

  • Collaborate with business leaders and operational teams to seek opportunities for continual improvement to achieve efficiencies/improvementsin client delivery and internal processes, whilst maintaining best practices.
  • Create and maintain communications, policies, processes and best practices that ensure all activities are undertaken correctly and are aligned across business platforms where possible.
  • Assist with developing data and trend analysis of Management Information to enable informed decision making by senior managers/leadership.
  • Consider the updates from the Technical team and the impact on processes
  • Communicate change through various mediums to internal colleagues (all levels)
  • Gather requirements from subject matter experts, ensuring the value of the proposition/needs meet the overall business objective.
  • Recommend solutions to problems encountered.
  • Support project or product teams when requested.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and external bodies to ensure that all aspects of our administration agree with standards and statutory requirements

What you need to have:

  • Strong knowledge / experience within the Pensions industry.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Microsoft Office skills including Word & Excel
  • Able to interact and communicate with different levels of stakeholders from exec members to SMEs
  • Well established, accurate, written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to drive Change & Improvement.
  • A track record of working in a successful team with the ability to work on your own as required
