Job description
Queensmead School are seeking a conscientious, reliable and enthusiastic person, with effective communication skills, to work as an Apprentice Science Technician alongside our Senior Science Technician, Science Technician and Science teaching staff.
Duties;
- Prepare, set up and distribute materials prior and during lessons
- Perform safety checks in the laboratories at the end of each day
- General administration and support for the teachers
- Provide support for students
- Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and productive working environment
- Support for the Curriculum
- Organising and maintaining stock and equipment taking responsibility to ensure the maintenance of a healthy and safe working environment
- Responsible for maintaining records, information and data relating to faculty area
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 3 Laboratory Technician qualification
- Functional skills Level 2 Maths and English (if required)
Expected duration;
24 months
Working Week;
Monday to Friday, 8am - 3:30pm
30 hours per week
