Associate Director/Quantum Consultant - London
Description
My client is looking for an Associate Director/Quantum Consultant, based in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who seeks an entrepreneurial environment where each team member is encouraged to contribute to the growth of the business.
Project Details
The portfolio of disputes work undertaken will include a range of civil and building projects located in the UK as well as a healthy amount of international disputes.
Responsibilities and Duties
The Quantum Expert job duties include:
- Managing expert assignments for adjudication, arbitration and litigation to support the lead testifying expert
- Generating work through a network of lawyers and solicitors
- Assisting the final draft of the expert report
- Willing to testify and being cross examined based on your evidence in formal dispute proceedings
- Understanding clear and concise instructions for members of the quantum team for carrying out quantum analysis
- Development of junior members of the team
- Giving detailed and expert advice to clients on disputes related matters
Desired Skills and Experience
Previous experience required includes:
- Assisting testified experts and assist the lead expert in a formal arbitration or litigation (or similar equivalent) proceedings.
- Have a network of lawyers and solicitors in the UK and potentially overseas.
- Have demonstrable experience of writing and assisting expert reports for disputes
- The ability to manage small teams of internal and external staff effectively
- Qualifications Educational Requirements
- Fully Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
- A Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Cost Management degree or similar equivalent
- MSc Construction Law or similar postgraduate construction law qualification essential
