We are currently seeking an individual to join this team in the role of Quantitative Analyst
The primary purpose will be that the candidate will be expected to help work on the development of the core pricing library, its interfaces to the expanding strategic pricing and risk platforms, and migrations away from legacy implementations. They should expect to have day-to-day interactions with the trading desk, other quants, and technology teams.
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop and maintain pricing models and platform used by the equities desks at HSBC.
- Test and document models to HSBC standards. Engage with stakeholders to ensure delivery of models into production.
- Develop and implement market data calibration techniques and routines.
- Support trading desks on technical queries and solutions. Provide rapid fixes to issues identified in the models.
- Develop close and effective working relationships with global businesses and support groups.
- A degree based on mathematics, science or mathematical finance from a top tier university.
- Experience of model development in derivatives (at least 5 years). Knowledge of vanilla and exotic structured products (preferably in equities).
- Advanced C++ experience. Knowledge of Python desirable.
- Strong technical skills with knowledge of stochastic processes, probability and numerical analysis.
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written). Ability to work as part of a team in a complex and global environment.
