Quality Manager /Lead
Swindon
Permanent Full Time – 39 hours per week (Days )
Salary - Up to £45,000
Hawk 3 Recruitment are working with a specialist Manufacturer based in Swindon to recruit a Quality Manager to join their company on a permanent basis. Excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to progress and develop their career .
Successful candidate must have a significant experience of working within a ‘quality’ role in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
Job Purpose
· To supervise and manage the quality function on a daily basis, in order to achieve compliance with legislation and agreed customer requirements.
· To ensure that the quality system is adhered to and that all possible measures are taken to ensure quality within the business.
· Identify opportunities for impact within quality.
· Introduce systems, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components, or manufacturing. Implement KPIs and produce data analysis reports.
· Be able to obtain manufacturing data, analyse and present quality trends, making recommendations for improvement activities.
· Lead quality improvement initiatives within the business and facilitate projects.
Responsibilities
· Lead and manage the quality team to ensure that all quality assurance activities from are carried effectively and efficiently.
· Carry out root cause analysis investigations using common tools (8D, Ishikawa, 5 Whys etc.) that have arisen from product non-conformities resulting in corrective and preventive actions.
· Work closely with the production team to identify and resolve any quality issues that arise during manufacturing.
· Ensure training and coaching is provided to the quality team to ensure they are able to carry out their roles effectively.
· Ensure customer standards and expectations are met on a day to day basis.
· To ensure the quality system documentation is audited and correctly archived.
