Role Overview
As the Quality Manager at Cambridge Spark, you will be responsible for the management and implementation of Quality Assurance and improvement activity with a focus on Government Funded Provision. You will work with the Head of Quality to develop and maintain the quality of provision, ensuring that the learner and client experience, and achievement, is of gold standard.
This role will work closely with other Managers across departments ensuring that the quality standards are met. You will be required to develop and deliver internal training and CPD ensuring that all staff delivering to learners meet our internal and external quality standards relating to all non-technical components of the learner journey. You will ensure that Cambridge Spark’s gold standard framework is as a minimum meeting the external requirements and accreditations such as Ofsted, Matrix, ESFA, and DfE, with the intention of exceeding these expectations by bringing innovative and entrepreneurial ideas to the table.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure areas of improvement are quickly identified and addressed with a focus on exceeding grade 2 (Good) Ofsted inspection outcome
- To undertake internal quality reviews (deep dives) in the areas of provision you are accountable for, resulting in development plans to drive improvement and identify areas of good practice
- To carry out observations and learning walks in line with the quality monitoring plan
- Lead on standardisation, moderation and verification (where applicable) for the areas of provision that you are accountable for
- Lead on self-assessment and quality improvement plans for the areas of provision that you are accountable for
- Ensuring staff are aware of all quality requirements, and consequent changes, providing internal resources and training where necessary, in line with the CPD plan
- Development of internal CPD guides and resources including, but not limited to: new staff IAG, new staff mandatory training
- Consult with other department managers to ensure they are working together to the same end goal
- Communicate with internal and external clients, promoting Cambridge Spark at all times
- Train employees on quality measures, policies and processes
- To ensure that relevant regulations, policies and processes are reviewed and updated regularly, in line with wider business strategy
Candidate Specification:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Holds TAQA/CAVA/V1 certification
- Experience of external accreditations and working towards a framework ie: Ofsted EIF, Matrix accreditation
- Relevant education/industry experience
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed industry standard satisfaction metrics
- A growth mindset individual, who views challenges as opportunities to improve
- Ability to influence stakeholders from a range of disciplines and seniority
- Excellent IT, analysis and reporting skills
- Good communication and influencing skills
