Role Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Inspector/Inspector for Parker Meggitt in Loughborough. As an Inspector, your main responsibilities would be to perform various inspection tasks and use multiple measuring equipment. You will need to ensure the maintenance of a safe work environment with the ultimate goal of zero accidents. Your overall goal is to inspect incoming goods with the aim to ascertain if they are of the correct standard.
Job Core Responsibilities
- Monitors, measures, and records quality assurance data including, but not limited to, dimensions, weight, or other specific information
- Comprehends and accurately follows specific detailed operational instructions and prints for job and setup operations
- Follows specific quality criteria to maintain quality system requirements and assists in training less experienced staff
- Observes safe work practices maintain a safe and clean work environment, and wear the appropriate personal protective equipment
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Years Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience
Skills:
- Skilled in the use of hand tools including callipers, depth gages, micrometres, and other measuring equipment, and machinery
- Skilled and experience within inspection is a requirement
- Ability to read various instructions
- Able to recognise and solve typical problems that can occur in own work area; evaluate and select solutions from established options
- Solid oral and written communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills
