Quality Engineer
Colleague Channels – Customer Contact Lab
Location: Manchester based, hybrid working with 2 days per week in the office.
Salary & Benefits: Up to £70,000 base salary, plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution (when you put in 6%), 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

About the Customer Contacts Lab:
The Customer Contacts lab supports the banks telephony channel. Telephony is a critical channel supporting around 110million call per year. At times of need customers pick up the phone and the lab is responsible for ensuring the technology is in place to support them.
About the role:
The role of the Quality Engineer is vital in ensuring the products we deliver are fit for purpose and meet the quality and standards that our customers expect. Confident, highly motivated and eager to collaborate, the Quality Engineer is responsible for delivering the highest quality customer driven software to production whilst being a quick learner who can learn and adapt to new technologies being used within Lloyds and the wider industry.
So what are we looking for in you?
- Experience of automating functional and regression testing using a variety of tools such as UFT, Cyara or Selenium
- Experience working with tooling for DevOps execution of automation tests - such as Jenkins, GITHub in order to deliver continuous integration, testing and delivery
- Environment aware, ability to identify technical impediments / bottlenecks and work directly to resolve.
- Technology agnostic and willing to adapt approach in pursuit of the best solution.
- Experience in BDD & TDD principles and writing upfront tests against team defined agile definitions and delivery stories.
- Experience working with 3-tier architecture applications
You'll be able to demonstrate the following:
- Work hands-on alongside engineering colleagues to understand and develop their own technical domain knowledge and should be able to take responsibility for their actions.
- Work in a highly collaborative way to complete assigned work, showcase progress and address problems that are well defined, complex and often non-routine.
- Understand the importance of quality and hence create and implement approaches, guidelines, principles defined by themselves and their Principle Quality Engineering and Chapter Lead peers.
- Drive the success of Lloyds Engineering Chapters, Communities and Guilds whilst resolving impediments, issues and providing a voice for engineers within teams.
- Continually develop themselves with industry standard process in order to advance the direction of Quality Engineering in Lloyds.
- Be the domain expert of the team who is able to reduce and mitigate risk at every phase of software delivery and also be able to own Chapter as a Chapter Lead blending both deep domain and technical expertise.
- Be able to project and implement "Automation first" approach in every phase of software delivery process that aids speed to market and better quality.
