Job description
Job Purpose - to support supplier quality activities
Key Responsibilities
- New supplier assessment alongside purchasing team
- Supplier audits
- Performance evaluations
- Onsite at supplier product inspections
- Support and training to suppliers
- Management of supplier Non-conformance and RCA
- Resolving quality issues
Decision Making - material & product acceptance against specified SPP procedures.
Communication & Contracts - develop positive working relationships with suppliers
Identify specific contracts at suppliers to speed up resolution
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
People Management - good communication, problem solving and resolution management
Qualifications & Experience - Experienced Quality Engineer, minimum 3-5 years experience, able to read engineering drawings, strong technical skills, good IT skills, continuous improved methodologies and use of Quality tools. Team Player.
Personal Qualities - Good communication, works well under pressure and to set timelines.
Working Conditions - Onsite at Suppliers and office based at Coleford Manufacturing Site.
