Ready to start growing with purpose? We believe that people don't always fit neatly into roles, and we value everyone's individual skills, experience, and knowledge — it's what makes you unique!
We're looking to recruit a Quality Engineer, to focus on Non-Functional Testing, to work within a highly proficient and productive engineering team with an ethos of testing and delivering high quality solutions for the bank and its customers. In our Economic Crime Prevention (ECP) Platform, our mission is to reduce harm to our communities by enhancing the Group's capability to prevent, detect and respond to economic crime. The Platform sits within Consumer Relationships and plays a critical role in providing services across the whole group.
In this role you will work collaboratively with the Product Owner as well as Engineers, Business Analysts and Scrum Masters to help build the feature team capability. You'll work to deliver customer driven testing solutions and quality software to take on business problems and realise value to customers through excellence in execution. You will do this by implementing the right level of Test Engineering principles and artefacts across all testing types through Agile testing with an ‘Automation First’ approach.

What you’ll need…
Strong and proven record of agile, DevOps and non-agile quality engineering practices; manual and automated testing, functional and non-functional coverage as well as documentation (all test deliverables within the lifecycle) and defect management.
Define, develop and implement non-functional testing strategies and frameworks
Experience of developing, executing and maintaining performance test scripts in LoadRunner and JMeter
Conduct performance, scalability, reliability, load, stress and other types of non-functional testing
Analyse test results, identify blockers and problem areas and suggest solutions for improvement
Usage of monitoring tools which will help in analysing and identifying the bottlenecks, such as Dynatrace and Splunk
Assist in identifying and implementing suitable testing tools and techniques
Collaborate with Lab teams to understand system architecture, requirements and potential performance risks
Technical and practical usage skills in Java, Jenkins, Microservices, Selenium, BDD Cucumber and Jira/Confluence
You'll take ownership for backlog items, from incubation to execution, reporting to stakeholders and managing the resolution of defects arising from testing. Thus ensuring high standards of delivery which are in line with expectations for Group Critical solutions.
