Job Description Summary
Our team are looking for somebody who is passionate about the future of quality engineering to join our QE Chapter in the Finance Data Engineering team.As a Quality Engineer you’ll be based in Bristol, supporting the Finance Platform. You will be responsible for ensuring that we deliver and maintain the highest quality customer driven software and will define and implement our Automation First approach whilst continually challenging, motivating and supporting your quality engineering team.
What would you get involved with?
Joining us as a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring we remain compliant with audit by adhering to the Testing Principles as well as ensuring we adopt an Automation First approach.
Our team needs an individual who is always looking at how we can best improve within the Quality Engineer space while encompassing our quality DevOps engineering principles within an Agile environment.

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

What you’ll need
- 2+ years of Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering experience with a deep knowledge of Test Lifecycle, Test Models, Best Practices, Test Benchmarking and Test Tools.
- Looks to automate testing where appropriate, updating and streamlining the test automation framework & coding standards deployed within the team.
- Has exposure to Jira, Confluence, Accessibility tooling and experience of Feature Team Agile/Scrum ways of working.
- Has knowledge of the following skills, JavaScript, Jenkins, GitHub. Selenium, Python and Cucumber (BDD framework).
And any experience of these would be really useful
- Understanding of the Finance Technologies & Infrastructure would be good but not essential.
- Test Management skills, which are an important part of this role, including strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- DevOps understanding including ability to code using open-source testing toolset or willingness to learn (we can provide training as we may not be using these initially but could in the future).
- Participates in Communities of Practice, Guilds and improvement working groups and shares learning to members of their team.
- Keen to deepen their technical knowledge and understanding.
