Our client, the world's largest and respected provider of heat treatment and thermal processing solutions are looking for a talented Quality Engineer responsible for ensuring that the products manufactured meet the required Quality standards and ensure that you will minimise quality costs and maximise efficiency.
The Role - Quality Engineer - Stockport
- Manage quality related issues within the manufacturing department
- Conduct root cause analysis and provide corrective actions for product issues
- Carry out process and product auditing
- Ensure products adhere to correct quality standards
- Ensure compliance with AS9100
- Involved with the development of new products changes or current products
- Support and lead process/continuous improvement activities
- Conduct functional tests
- Conduct PFMEA's
- Liaise with customers for any QA queries
Experience/Skills required - Quality Engineer - Stockport
- Qualification in materials/metallurgy or Quality
- Strong knowledge of metal processing
- Experience with quality engineering tools e.g. 8D, RCCA. Guage R&R, 5s and other lean manufacturing techniques
- Engineering background in a regulated industry
- Team player
- Excellent communication skills
