Job Summary
Pursue and solve quality problems and implement quality improvements.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Conduct, monitor, and evaluate first article inspections, DOE, CPK, and GR&R data then prepares related reports for customers and internal engineering/production teams.
- Conduct measurements and use statistical methods to report inspection results, product failures and problems.
- Assist manufacturing and engineering towards quality improvement.
- Work together with engineering to ensure that manufacturing processes and equipment have sufficient capability to meet quality requirements by analyzing process capability studies, control charts and other statistical data.
- Investigate nonconforming material and work closely with engineering/production for prompt disposition and correction of the cause for nonconformance.
- Investigate and/or champion corrective, preventative, and process procedures.
- Conduct internal and external audits per documented procedures.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science in related technical field preferred.
- Minimum of two years experience within a plastics environment required.
Required Skills
- Strong decision-making skills a must.
- Ability to work under time constraints with changing priorities.
- Working knowledge of common quality statistical tools, techniques and reporting structures.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Knowledge of ISO9000 requirements.
- Excellent oral, written, computer and interpersonal skills. Communication is by phone and in person.
- Geometric dimensioning and tolerance skills.
- Understanding of injection molded processes.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Experience using a PC including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Internet.
