Quality Engineer - 2nd Shift

Role Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the implementation of methods, processes, training programs and the auditing of the company’s products and processes
• Develops quality assurance plans or process control procedures that will ensure production of finished products, which meet quality specifications and standards
• Contacts and/or visits suppliers when necessary to confer on specific quality problems
• Understand root cause analysis and corrective action process
• Drives root cause analysis skills deep into the organization
• Performs Risk Assessment of gaps identified between quality goals and actual performance
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Effectively complete internal audit corrective action requests in a timely manner
• Conduct analysis on returned product and report data to the Quality Manager as appropriate.
• Assist with other projects as requested by the Quality Manager
• Work independently on various assignments
• Perform packaging material testing and qualifications
• Issue technical reports based on findings and results
• Promote and adhere to Food Safety, 5S and ISO standards

Qualifications & Experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of related experience in technical quality role; programming, project management.
• Must be physically able to safely perform required laboratory duties.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must be willing and able to taste alcoholic beverages.
• Must be able to function within a team environment.
• SAP, HACCP, and ISO or Continuous Improvement experience preferred.
• Must have mobility to access all areas of the Plant, good visual acuity (correctable), good sense of hearing (correctable), and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel when required.
• Ability to work 2nd shift

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related science preferred
