Quality Director (Pharmaceutical)

The company has a vacancy for a Quality Director to oversee and develop the quality function of our highly regarded pharmaceutical testing laboratories. The Quality Director will also work with our Training and Consulting team providing training and consultancy to clients within the candidates area of expertise.
The laboratories provides microbiological and chemical testing of quality waters, raw materials and finished products for major pharmaceutical manufacturers.
The company is routinely audited by our clients and is regulated by the MHRA and FDA. The Quality Director will be expected to host and close out audits and work alongside the appropriate technical/operational members of the team.
Main duties include:
- Management of the QMS within the pharmaceutical laboratories and general company areas.
- To implement and oversee a new electronic QMS system
- Regulatory body liaison (MHRA/FDA/UKAS)
- Responsibility for internal audits
- Lead OOS investigations, Deviations, CAPAs
- To provide GMP and QMS training within the business
- Maintain auditable training records for laboratory staff
- Checking, approving, archiving of data & records
- To write, execute and approve qualification/validation protocols
- To streamline and improve the quality function of the business
- To facilitate the implementation of new testing services
- Line management of a small team
The successful candidate will be from a regulated, pharmaceutical background with a proven history within Quality Management. It would be preferable if the candidate was experienced in Analytical Chemistry or Microbiology. QP status is desirable although not essential.
Starting salary is negotiable based on experience.

Salary: £45,000.00-£62,500.00 per year
