Quality Control Supervisor
£11.40 – £13.99 (dependant on experience)
Cardington
6:00am – 3:00pm
Full Time, Permanent
We are looking for a number of Quality Control Supervisors to join the team at our Cardington site. You’ll be used to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment where you’ll have the opportunity to develop the skills you will have obtained in a similar role or industry.
Working within various departments on the shop floor, the Quality Control Supervisors will, under the leadership of the QC Manager and Departmental Managers, ensure that practices are such that.
- Quality issues are minimised, not repeated and aspiring to having none.
- Issues are identified prior to despatch.
- Follow up on corrective actions ensuring non-conformances are investigated with root cause analysis of any issue, identification and corrective strategies applied.
- Daily KPI’s are set and monitored, including;
- Daily micro samples are taken,
- Various Pre-Start checks throughout the factory including all sterilisers etc are carried out,
- Label and weight checks are carried out and are consisten
- Daily contamination checks are carried out as appropriate,
- All quality records are fully completed, recorded and stored appropriately Perform hygiene inspections
- Collecting, logging product samples/environmental swabs
- Site internal audits are carried out as per defined schedule and follow up on any findings
- Full traceability is maintained throughout the process.
The successful candidate will have: -
- Strong and well developed interpersonal and communication skills are essential as you will be working alongside other departmental supervisors and may well have to “encourage” them to change their own practices.
- A Quality Control background (Meat processing plant environment is only desirable)
- Strong organisational skills with ability to plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines
- Experience of facilitating internal audit process
- Working knowledge of current HACCP principles and Food Safety Legislation
Training can be provided for a candidate with the correct aptitude and personal characteristics but without the meat processing / QC background.
