Position Overview
We are looking for a Quality Control Technician to monitor quality standards for all manufactured products at Golden State Assembly, LLC
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and specifications
- Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards
- Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process
- Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced
- Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers
- Operate electronic inspection equipment and software
- Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests
- Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work
- Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs
- Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications
- Report inspection and test data such as continuity test, resistance test, hipot test, and quantities conformant and quantities non-conformant
- Check products by sight, sound, or feel to locate imperfections such as cuts, scratches, missing pieces, or crooked seams.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
- Coach and mentor junior employees; seek opportunities to grow leadership in others
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, attending seminars, watching industry videos, etc.
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in the manufacturing or assembly industry
- Proven experience as a quality control inspector in the same industry preferred
- Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in computer software applications
- Knowledge of industry products and processes
- Good team player who can work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize multitask and prioritize workload
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of IPC 620
- Proficient understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T)
