JOB SUMMARY:
The QC Technician is responsible for procedures related to the Fabrique Delices Food Safety and Food quality programs. Tasks will include direct monitoring of operational procedures, direct evaluation of products/materials and interaction with personnel performing said procedures utilizing HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) methodology, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards. Completion and review of associated documentation. Assistance for Director of QA as instructed by that manager or Management.
COMPENSATION:
$23-27 per hour based on experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promotes and Leads food safety and quality program within the plant environment.
- Assists in monitoring lockout/tagout program.
- Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
- Ensure ALL employees are following Food and Employee safety procedures with the responsibility to correct lapses as needed.
- All corrective actions must be run through departmental supervision and communicated to management.
- Monitor and address Food Safety and Quality concerns throughout the manufacturing process
- Verification of sanitation procedures and allergen testing as they apply to equipment and building areas.
- Verify and maintain all completed HACCP related paperwork.
- Ensure recipes and other instruction sets are followed to ensure products meet customer specifications.
- Collect product and/or lab samples as needed/instructed.
- Maintain full compliance with traceability and third-party customer software and programs.
- Complete inspections of Product, Equipment, Building, Machinery, and Inventory as needed.
- Collect supplier logs, documents, reports for review and filing.
- Complete supplier and vendor questionnaires from customers.
- Build and maintain a strong working relationship with front office, production staff and USDA/FDA.
- Digitize all QA, food safety and production paperwork to streamline the reporting and record keeping process.
- Develop the skills and competencies of QA by participating in trainings (internal and external) and learning on the job.
- Attend Quality meetings with quality team via Teams and collaborate with teammates to mitigate concerns and suggestions.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Be self-motivated with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Possess an understanding of PC and MS Office.
- Experience in a food processing environment preferred.
- HACCP, SQF, GMP certifications a plus, must be willing to become HACCP certified.
- Able to maintain a positive attitude within a team environment.
- Have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Be effective in pressure situations.
- Have schedule flexibility with potential for night and weekend shifts
- Thorough understanding of PC and Microsoft Office
- Bilingual- English/Spanish not required, but a plus.

JOB DETAILS:
This role is a regular employee, full-time hourly position that is normally scheduled:
1st Shift - Monday through Friday, 5:30 am – 2:00 pm
Overtime work may be required based on the needs of the business. Overtime pay is 1.5 x the base rate for all hours worked over 40 within a work week and 8 hours within a workday (CA).
