Quality Assurance Team Leader

At Teva Runcorn, we develop, manufacture and market innovative and affordable medicines, specialising in sterile liquid products mainly used for treating respiratory conditions using Blow-Fill-Seal technology as well as injectable Combination Products such as our MS treatment Copaxone.
A Day In The Life Of A Quality Assurance Team Leader
The purpose of this role is to Support and develop QA officers, implement and maintain quality standards and systems to ensure that products comply with Marketing Authorisations, specifications and cGMP.
Key Responsibilities
Support Quality Assurance Officers. Providing support and coaching to the team. To provide cover for QA manager as required.
Manage release activities to ensure plan adherence
Review and approve quality control documentation to ensure compliance with cGMP
Prepare and complete product quality reviews, quality reports and stability reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Close out failure investigations and preventative actions to reduce repeat failures ensuring site targets for close out of actions are achieved
To review and approve batch manufacturing documentation within agreed timelines to support product release – meeting release requirements
Carry out audits to support the identification, actioning and close out of non-compliance issues
Support QA Operations team as required with day to day activities within the QA role.
Who Are We Looking For?
Do you have?
A degree background within a relevant science based discipline
Experience in pharmaceutical industry in similar role
Experience across the following areas is essential within this role:
Sterile Manufacturing experience and how GMP requirements relate to production and packaging
Validation principles and procedures
An understanding of utilities, facilities, equipment and process validation requirements
EU and US regulatory guidelines and the product licensing processes
The principles of sterilisation and aseptic processing
Root cause analysis and Risk management
