Job description
We are looking to appoint a Quality Assurance Manager to join the Specialised Translational Research Oxford Neuromuscular Group (STRONG), based in the John Radcliffe Hospital.
The successful candidate will lead on quality assurance, drawing on experience in the clinical research setting, and driving protocol development, GCP and related audit and inspection procedures to support the STRONG Team. You will also help to ensure best practice, identify risks and mitigation strategies, interpret regulatory and audit requirements and provide local advice, training and support for researchers and trial teams.
To be considered for this post, it is essential that you have a background in quality, protocol development and implementation, and experience conducting and managing audits/monitoring visits, all within a clinical/GCP environment. You must also have a good knowledge of UK regulatory processes.
Furthermore, we are looking for a candidate with a sharp and analytical mind with demonstrable skills in communication, numeracy, IT, planning, organisation, and time management, with a flexible and adaptive approach to manage a large and complex workload and to work to deadlines under pressure in a team context, without direct supervision, reorienting at short notice as required. A university degree or equivalent experience would be desirable.
This position is offered full-time on a fixed-term contract initially for one year, with the possibility to extend provided further external funding is available. Part-time applications may be considered (with a minimum of 26.25 weekly hours).
This role meets the criteria for a UK Skilled Worker visa.
