Position Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity for aQuality Assurance Inspector to join our QA team in our Bedesway Distribution centre. This role will play an essential part in inspecting delivered products using the Barbour Quality Audit process to the required standard (AQL). This will role will inspect, assess, record and process customer returns (RTMs) and stock returns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily receipt of planned workload AQL and RTMs.
- Ensure any priorities are given preference.
- Prepare for quality examination (AQL) by sourcing
- a Black seal sample
- b Trim Card
- c Measurement Chart
- Examine products and document findings.
- Report and defects or quality issues to your departmental Team Leader.
- Finalise documentation and file for future reference.
- Receive customer returns (RTMs), accurately assess reason for return, record and process RTM.
- Decide route for reject product and process accordingly.
- Maintain employee compliance with Health & Safety policies and company procedures.
- Ensure compliance with the department/site housekeeping requirements.
- Undertake any other reasonable activity, as may be required by senior management.
Skills and Experience:
- Good Standard of Education (Grades B/C )
- Experience in working to AQL Quality Standards.
- Experience of working in the garment Industry.
- Good understanding of general warehouse procedures and processes
- Knowledge of the Barbour product range (Desirable)
- Understands how to plan & control own daily work load.
- Physical ability as there is an element of lifting & carrying.
- Attention to detail & accuracy.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Acting in a professional and respectful manner to all warehouse staff.
- Basic literacy & numeracy.
- Basic understanding of general housekeeping standards
- Basic understanding of Health & Safety regulations / procedures.
Desirable requirements:
- NVQ level 2 Quality Assurance
- NVQ Level 2 (ILM)
- Manual Handling Certificate
- Basic Health & Safety Certificate

Additional Information:
- You must be willing and able to participate in training and development, which is deemed necessary for the specific job role.
- Co-operation is required in relation to overtime working & commitment helping and supporting other departments when deemed necessary.
- This role is based at Bedesway Distribution Centre.
- The working pattern for this role is 7am – 5:30pm, on a 4 on 4 off shift rotation.
