Are you passionate about the quality of our fruit & vegetable range? Do you want to shape the direction of fresh produce at Lidl! Then look no further, this is your opportunity to join the Quality Assurance department as a Fruit & Veg Quality Consultant.
The successful candidate will lead on fresh produce quality at Lidl for all fruit and vegetable products. The role is a great mixture of Head office and regional tasks, including RDC and supplier visits. This rewarding role will allow you to be a key player in the strategic vision of Lidl’s F&V range!
What you'll do
- Create, review and manage supplier specifications
- Complete fresh produce quality checks at Lidl Regional Distribution Centres & stores for compliance against agreed specifications
- Train regional colleagues for routine fresh produce checks
- Participate in sensory fresh produce panels
- Strengthen supplier relationships through supplier investigations and supplier visits
- Share relevant F&V quality data to influence routine product category reviews
- Look for opportunities to continuously improve our fresh produce range!
What you'll need
- Passionate about fresh produce quality control, with a desire to influence and develop the product category
- Experience working with fresh produce quality standards for UK retail supply
- In depth knowledge of the fresh produce industry
- Strategically collaborate and cooperate with stakeholders
- Clear communicator and confident presenter
- Proactive, creative, and able to develop efficient and dynamic solutions
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office 365 (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Teams)
- Clean UK driving license is essential
- Role will involve some travel with overnight stays
