Quality Analyst
Glasgow
As a Barclays Quality Analyst, you’ll work with the Financial Crime Technology team and support Compliance through improving interconnection of Compliance systems to improve disruption of financial crime. For this role, you’ll facilitate data-led approach for Financial Crime stakeholders & applications and demonstrate high level delivery expertise, work with technical architects, leads and project stakeholders and deliver project scope & change requests by working closely with a global team based in India, the US, and the UK.

What will you be doing?
- Understanding the application/domain end to end, taking ownership of group of applications from a QA perspective and develop Test automation scripts
- Ensuring on-time delivery, quality improvement KPI and communicating effectively to different stakeholders on progress
- Identifying innovative solutions to improve the quality and efficiency and communicating to management on a timely basis in a clear and transparent way
- Building and maintaining effective working relationships with project team colleagues in a matrix organisation
- Taking prompt and effective action to rectify problems within the team
- Applying a global mindset and respect time zones and cultures
What we’re looking for:
- Good exposure to different testing methodologies and any standard test framework
- Knowledge of project tracking and understanding of project governance and reporting
- A team-player with a passion for QA testing and the value of automation
- Exceptional SQL, UNIX, Shell scripting skills with exposure to Hadoop, HIVE/Impala, Python, Spark
- Experience in CI/CD and DevOps
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to implement solutions within Barclays defined standards and help to identify key issues and risks
- Experience of working in Agile methodologies
- Previous experience of working within the Financial Services industry and with global teams
