QSW - Supervising Social Worker (Fostering) - Worthing
We’re seeking qualified social workers to join our Fostering team. Key tasks and responsibilities are wide ranging and, among others, include supporting foster carers to provide the best quality of care to children placed with them through regular supervision, the completion of Foster Carer Annual Reviews, attendance at Fostering Panel, managing allegations, attending support groups and foster carer events as well as supporting with training and the development of the service.
As a Social Worker within the Fostering team you will be ready to demonstrate great practice, share good ideas and have a working knowledge of Secure Base and Attachment Theory and the impact of developmental trauma on children and families. All staff receive extensive training and support to implement these approaches.
Our ideal candidate is confident in their assessment skills, an excellent communicator and able to work effectively with families, children, young people as well as key partners in Children We Care For teams, Independent Reviewing, Health and Education.
Candidates should have experience of working in a relevant social work team and be familiar with all relevant statutory guidance and legislation. It is essential that you have an appreciation of the fostering role, the challenges our carers face daily and how integral they are to the wellbeing and success of our looked after children.
