EuroCaps are a world class Soft Gelatin Capsule Contract Manufacturer. We supply the nutritional supplement and OTC markets across Europe and worldwide. Based in Tredegar, South Wales and founded in 1994, we operate from a state-of-the-art GMP facility which has seen over £20m invested in our facilities and innovative new product lines, we are also licensed by the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
We specialise in the manufacture of complex, vegetarian, and other speciality softgels, simply providing one the highest quality softgel products available. We manufacture over 2.5 billion softgel capsules per year and currently employ around 350 people, with exciting and ambitious future growth plans.

QC TECHNICIAN
Due to internal promotion of the existing post holder, an exciting opportunity is now available for a proactive and diligent individual to join the expanding Laboratory team at our site in Tredegar. You will demonstrate initiative, flexibility and have a positive attitude as well as being a strong team player.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- The booking into the QC systems, sampling, performance of basic (identification) analysis, disposition decision and labelling of raw material samples delivered into EuroCaps, against defined lead times.
- To perform routine finished product testing as per the current procedures.
- Production of reagents and provision of assistance to QC Analysts with basic laboratory tasks.
- Housekeeping within the QC laboratories.
- Administrative duties, including timely completion and filing of records and management of retained/reference samples.
- Liaising with the quality management team to ensure laboratory resources and testing performance always meet regulatory expectations for continued compliance.
- To create a positive environment in the laboratory, and to take ownership for your own performance and continual professional development.
- To achieve set targets for laboratory sample throughput.
- To ensure effective communication, co-operation and cohesion between colleagues on the other laboratory shifts and other company departments.
Person Specification:
LEVEL 1: Typically no experience of a commercial quality control laboratory
LEVEL 2: At least one years' experience in a quality control laboratory.
LEVEL 3: As per level 2, plus positive performance review and with at least two years' experience in a quality control laboratory. With instructions, developing proficiency in bas 'wet chemistry' techniques e.g. titrations, and chemical identifications; and simply instrumentation such as UV-Vis, FTIR, Karl Fisher; with a view to progression to the next grade (QC Analyst).
Systems and Knowledge
- A good level of computer literacy: Microsoft Office 365 package software, experience of Q-Pulse and NAVison would be helpful but not essential.
- Understanding of requirements of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) within a Quality Control laboratory.

The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday AM/PM rotating shifts (Week 1: Monday to Friday 06:00 -14:00 / Week 2: Monday to Thursday 13:30 - 21:30 and Friday's 10:30 - 18:30)
