We are recruiting for a QC Analyst to join the Quality Control team based at our site near Penicuik, EH26 0BU.

The role is a full time (37.5 hours per week), permanent position working with flexible working hours. This role is a rotational post between QC Microbiology and QC Biochemistry and entails carrying out Quality Control analysis of Quotient raw materials, intermediate and final products and environmental samples in accordance with operational objectives, statutory and regulatory requirements and the principles of GMP to ensure that all Quotient final products meet the appropriate specifications and regulatory requirements for release to market.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The main responsibilities will include:

• Analytical testing of raw material, in process and final product, both from a Microbiological and Biochemical stand point.
• Rotation between QC Microbiology and QC Biochemistry laboratories as schedule workload dictates.
• Review and update of procedures to ensure compliance.
• Support review of data from both laboratories as required.
• Participation in projects and validation activities as required.
• Participate in collection and processing of environmental samples taken throughout the manufacturing facility.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & BEHAVIOURS REQUIRED

• Science degree or experience in scientific industry
• QC experience
• Clean room/diagnostic manufacturing/environmental monitoring experience
• Strong team player, with good verbal and written communication skills
• Able to manage workload with appropriate attention to getting the job done while being result orientated.
