QA Test Analyst
Job Purpose/ Summary
As part of the group development team, the QA Test Analyst role will be to test, maintain, and support all web and mobile applications. The tester will participate in all phases of the development life cycle, analysis, design, coding, testing and documentation. This will be a manual role to begin with, with the potential for it to grow into an automation role.
We have a broad range of web applications providing a varied and interesting workload within a product area that you will be able to relate to.
Duties and Responsibilities
Writing test scripts
Performing functional tests and documenting the results
Problem-solving
Using Test Management tools such as Azure DevOps
Supporting users in User Acceptance Testing.
Test Execution (within sprints)
Early involvement in story refinement - Helping to define testable user stories.
Write clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Document all projects and be involved in all sprints.
Knowledge of multiple code bases
Define, implement and own the QA process within our Scrum development team
End to end testing, including test planning, test design and test reporting
Working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Essential skills and qualifications
- Previous testing experience as a QA Engineer/Analyst (minimum 2 years)
- 2 years manual software testing experience
- Experience in requirements gathering to create test cases and acceptance testing
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills
Additional Information
- Hours of Work: Mon – Thurs (8.00 – 17.00), Fri (8.00 – 16.30), one-hour lunch break. 39.5 hours per week.
- Place of work, Avonbury Business Park Bicester (OX26 2UA)
- Holiday Entitlement: 24 days (increasing by one day after two years’ service to a maximum of 29) + Bank Holidays.
