Position Description
PingWind is seeking a qualified QA Manager for a contingent position on a contract with the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). NARA is an independent agency established in 1934 to identify, protect, preserve, and make publicly available the historically valuable records of all three branches of the Federal government. NARA’s Office of Information Services (OCIO) is looking to use a proven Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) to significantly improve delivery of IT services teleworking employees, while driving down IT sustainment costs and freeing up resources to fund new and priority emerging requirements. The PingWind team will be responsible for providing trained and skilled personnel to design, implement, manage, and administer those IT solutions.
Responsibilities
Serves the point of contact for IT Quality Assurance, analyzes deficiencies in service or performance and recommends improvements to address problems. Implements defect reduction programs. Ensures that milestones/goals are met.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years Quality Assurance Experience - Some organizational QA experience is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related scientific/technical discipline
- Experience with analyzing deficiencies in service or performance and recommending improvements to address problems.
- Experience setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.
- Oversee all quality testing, maintenance, and deliverables associated with agency information technology initiatives.
- Manage continuous quality improvement to ensure the delivery of the best possible IT products and services.
- Oversee all activities conducted by the team, including testing, evaluating, and optimizing applications and information technology processes.
- Develop and promote best practices and protocols to be followed in quality assurance testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the Federal Government, Veterans Administration (VA) experience a plus.
- Experience with one or more agile methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, eXtreme programming
- Certified Test Engineer (CSTE) or similar quality assurance certification in the IT field
