Scope of job

To efficiently oversee the Quality process for the Packaged Utility Rooms section of the organisation, ensuring all units are completed to a high standard that is suited to prestigious residential apartments. This includes being responsible for setting up and continually improving systems along with all supporting documentation, problem resolution and process audits to support the ISO 9001 Quality Management system. The role will require some QA inspection on a day to day basis.

Principal Responsibilities/Duties

  • Review information held on the QA database
  • Completing all supporting documentation relating to the QA procedure
  • Supporting Project Manager in investigation, resolution and reporting on customer issues
  • Updating test methods when required
  • Supporting review of customer specs
  • Maintaining calibration system including arranging external calibrations & upkeep of records for tooling
  • Managing quality activities in relation with production
  • Creation and implementation of project based QA process and procedures
  • Work closely with Operations (e.g. Production, Engineering, Stores)

Principal Skills and attributes

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Quality department within a manufacturing setting.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 requirements
  • Proven ability to lead a small team is desirable
  • An effective oral and written communicator with the ability to create detailed reports
  • Ability to identify and report trends
  • Knowledge of QMS processes
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Methodical with good organisational skills & attention to detail
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • High standard of workmanship

Salary: £30,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
