Grid Smarter Cities are at the forefront of the drive towards cleaner, safer and smarter cities. Based in the centre of Newcastle, and proudly so, we're at a very exciting stage in our company's growth as we look to bring a new QA Engineer into our core product delivery team.

What we'd like you to have:
- 3+ years experience in a QA-related role with frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, or Cucumber.
- You are keen on TDD, BDD, CI/CD and XP ways of working in general.
- Strong communication skills and interest in a pair-programming environment.
- Passion for growing your skills, tackling interesting work and challenging problems.
- An understanding of agile development practices.
- Use of Git version control with Github.
- You are open to new ideas and ways of working.
- Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Additional nice to haves:
- Experience in a development language such as Python, Perl, Java, Ruby, Shell, etc.
- Good code craftsmanship and software development skills.
- Knowledge or experience of CI/CD systems and tools such as Jenkins or AWS Codebuild.
- Experience in deploying web applications, databases or other backend services.
- Experience in developing/maintaining applications in an AWS or other cloud environment.
- Experience with serverless technologies and application development.
- Knowledge of using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

Salary and benefits:
- Salary between £40,000 to £50,000 per annum.
