As QA Engineer in one of our 30 engineering platforms operating at hyper-scale receiving thousands of requests per second, you'll work as part of strong cross functional Agile teams contributing towards the quality, testing and technology bringing your skills and experience to share with the team. From problem solving to new concept ideas, you have the genuine opportunity to unleash your full potential and creativity on a variety of ASOS software projects.

As part of the platforms that make up Central and Shared Services - Integration, Customs, Returns here is what you will be doing:

  • Working with people (Engineers, QA Engineers, Platform Engineers) in your platform to deliver well-crafted products
  • Question things all the time. Think about the customer. Our ways of working, the features the team are implementing, the technologies we're using.
  • Learn from your peers through pairing and knowledge sharing sessions
  • Educate the team on testing practices
  • Support the team in adopting new tools and practices
  • Contribute to ensuring the right test tooling and frameworks and practices (e.g. shift-left/shift-right) are in place where appropriate to help the teams to deliver against the business goals.
  • Have a firm understanding of the SDLC framework including (UAT, SIT, E2E testing, Defect management, BAU hyper care support etc)
  • Have a firm understanding of Test planning including: Test estimation, Risk based testing etc.
  • Working across internal platform teams and external stakeholders/third parties to carry out various levels of testing.
  • Stakeholder engagement is key! Working closely with project managers & Test leads.
  • Working on a variety of tasks to ensure the software delivered is appropriately tested.

Nice to have:

  • Customs CMS background knowledge.
  • WMS knowledge. (Stock integrity, Operational Inbound/Outbound processing within the warehouse)
  • A good understanding of working with automation frameworks.
  • Basic understanding of Power BI

Qualifications


About you:

  • You'll have experience with some of the tooling above but an appreciation that a tool can only take you so far
  • You have experience in the testing field, with APIs, Databases, Service Bus, Microservices
  • You've worked with automation frameworks in some capacity and understand the value that they bring
  • You're able to talk through the Application Architecture
  • As a passionate QA Engineer you've played an integral part in an Agile team working closely with Engineers and all stakeholders
