Quality Auditor, Greenford, London, shared responsibility towards the maintenance of the company’s current BRC AA grade and it’s standards with everything that involves. Reporting to the QA Manager.

Belazu has been a pioneer of supplying high quality, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean Ingredients within the UK’s Foodservice for over 30 years. Having launched into retail in 2015 we have been growing by recruiting more consumers. Our retail range now include cooking pastes, pesto, nuts, oils, vinegars, and tahini just to name a few and we have ambitious plans to grow even more in the next 5 years.
The Role:
The role includes ensuring staff adhere to company systems and procedures, and that all Belazu products comply with the HACCPs and are manufactured to the highest possible standards of hygiene, food safety, authenticity and legality.
The following are the key accountabilities and responsibilities with the role:
- Internal auditing such as GMP, hygiene inspections, fabrication inspections, hygiene, glass & brittle plastic and CCP audits and trending
- CCPs and other procedure verification and competency assessment performance
- Investigation of customer complaints and other internal non conformances
- Product testing such as organoleptic, pH, aw and salt content
- WIP product release for production
- Finished product label checks
- Raw material inspection and testing
- Investigation of out of spec results
- Issue of concessions
- Logging and managing supplier non conformances
- Following the company’s Quarantine system
- Internal calibration and verification of equipment
- Environmental swabbing
- Sending product to the lab for micro analysis as per schedule
- Water analysis
- Results reporting and trending
- Carrying out shelf life testing and per schedule
- Assisting the QA manager in troubleshooting, investigations of any other related tasks
- To adhere to QA Budget and to meet KPIs
- To contribute to the Health & Safety, Food Safety and Socio-Environmental Belazu values, and to help achieve the company wide objectives that are communicated on an on going basis
QA Auditor key skills and experience:
To be successful in this QA Auditor role, you will need a hands on and can-do attitude, with good communication, computer and admin skills. Our dream candidate will have a good working knowledge of food preservation techniques and general food technology.
You will need to have the ability to influence those around you to ensure that the company’s procedures are adhered to at all times. Ideally you will be independent and resilient – happy working in a busy, fast-moving and complex environment.

Terms
- 40 hrs/wk. Shifts 06:30 - 15:00 / 07:00 - 15:30
- Probationary period 3 months
- Annual salary review (our ‘movers and shakers’ are always rewarded)
- 10% KPI related bonus based around challenging but achievable tasks related to the role
