At a glance
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Lead, our Quality Assurance Associates work collaboratively to develop and maintain software testing requirements for all Selazar products. You will be part of the Development Team, creating and implementing test strategies to ensure the Selazar platform is stable, robust, efficient, and scalable.
As a QA Associate, you will take ownership for testing our product features and improvements. You will write test cases, automate the process, and provide feedback to the Development Team. You will be imaginative, innovative and passionate about QA.
Job Title: QA Associate
Location: Belfast
Salary: Negotiable, depends on experience
Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm, Hybrid working.
Key responsibilities
- Review product specifications and any technical documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
- Perform thorough regression testing.
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
- Collaborate with members of the Development team to design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
- Continuously improve test processes (Root Cause Analysis, Correction and Preventions).
About You
Knowledge and Abilities
- Demonstrable experience in a Quality Assurance role.
- Experience in a detail-driven environment.
- Experience working in a global team, collaborating with stakeholders at all levels. Fluent English is a must.
- Experience in using tools and technologies such as Selenium, Appium and Jmeter, Postman, SQL and Jira.
- Proven ability in managing test dependencies, coordinating test coverage and execution.
- Experience within Agile projects, with a strong understanding of the Sprint, CI and release testing lifecycles.
- Automation experience and the ability to specify, to develop and to implement automation frameworks and advise on industry best practice.
- Experience in Continuous Improvement - defining, improving and implementing test processes and tools.
- Experience in dealing with multiple tasks and effectively organising workload.
- Experience in making informed choices.
- Experience in taking ownership of work and embracing challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with a positive approach.
