Duties

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Analyzes and reviews user requirements to ensure all requirement documents contain clear, concise, and accurate statements that support the information system needs of a specific business unit, and develop test plan and test cases from the requirements using appropriate IBM Rational tools and perform both manual and automated test execution.
  • Develops, executes, and maintains automated regression testing scripts using Selenium Test Automation Framework.
  • Designs and writes automation scripts, debug test cases, use automation frameworks, probe into problems that arise post-testing and Incorporate test automation frameworks into a continuous integration pipeline.
  • Converts manual test cases to automated test cases using Selenium.
  • Develops quality assurance processes automation test scripts using Selenium to test web based applications for different browsers and validate the data from front end to back end in Oracle, Sqlserver and other databases.
  • Performs DC Courts Mobile App Testing in iOS, Android platform.
  • Tests new functionality deployed in DC Courts website.
  • Integrates automated functional and performance automated test script execution with DevSecOps CI/CD pipeline, with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, and relational databases.
  • Stays up to date with industry trends and best practices in order to apply them to an existing project.
  • Develops software quality assurance plans, and works with the project stakeholders to develop applicable risk management plans.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology Management or related field plus five (5) years of experience in software quality assurance testing automation including a minimum of four (4) years in formalized software development projects.

The incumbent should be an enthusiastic and engaged professional who enjoys working with a diverse group of Court personnel and customers and lives the DC Courts’ values of Accountability, Excellence, Fairness, Integrity, Respect, and Transparency.

Most military, federal and District of Columbia government service counts toward the time required to go into the next higher annual leave category. Employees can carry over no more than 240 hours of annual leave into the next leave year.

    Sick Leave is used for personal medical needs, care of a family member, or adoption related purposes. Full-time employees earn four(4)hours of sick leave biweekly. This leave can be accrued without limit.

    In addition to the federal health plans, the DC Courts offer employees supplemental vision and dental plans as well as a commuter transit benefit subsidy, for a maximum of $150 a month. There are 26 pay periods in the year.
