Job description

A career in Information Security, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to develop and support our internal security technologies and services across the entire global and local PwC network. You’ll focus on being the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing information technology including hardware, software, and networks that enhances security of internal information and protect our firms intellectual assets.

Information Technology, Computer Systems Analysis, Management Information Systems

Certification(s) Preferred:

Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts identifying and addressing client needs in strategic IT including the following areas:

  • Anticipating and managing leadership expectations and developing effective communication strategies at all levels;

  • Understanding of application development methodologies and technologies for strategic IT programs;

  • Using strategic management and communications to serve as a primary point of contact to drive and support coherent execution projects and complex assignments;

  • Utilizing business skills (i.e. financial, resource, vendor, issue management, etc.) to solve critical and strategic business technology issues; and,

  • Possessing a consulting mindset to analytically look at opportunities across the portfolio to drive coordination and identify and resolve competing priorities.   • Anticipating and managing leadership expectations and developing effective communication strategies at all levels;

  • Understanding of application development methodologies and technologies for strategic IT programs;

  • Using strategic management and communications to serve as a primary point of contact to drive and support coherent execution projects and complex assignments;

  • Utilizing business skills (i.e. financial, resource, vendor, issue management, etc.) to solve critical and strategic business technology issues; and,

  • Possessing a consulting mindset to analytically look at opportunities across the portfolio to drive coordination and identify and resolve competing priorities.

  • Driving strategic problem identification, definition, alternative/option definition, and taking decisive action to achieve program objectives in alignment with organization and firm strategy;

  • Influencing and engaging with high performing, agile delivery teams within a rapidly changing environment with employees, contractors and sourced resources;

  • Identifying points of escalation to executive leadership with solution recommendations, when necessary;

  • Leading highly visible complex strategic program activities, bringing current knowledge and future roadmap understanding to align competing strategies, milestones, or sequencing;

  • Analyzing complex and matrixed cross-technology roadmap deployments, managing interdependencies, identifying competing sequencing, and articulating impact at an executive level;

  • Collaborating extensively with others to discover creative solutions to complex problems, which may require unique approaches, while maintaining standards and minimizing any risk to the firm;

  • Providing strategic leadership to the program and other matrixed, functional leadership to support coherent execution of interdependent projects;

  • Working with technology leaders across the organization and network to understand program priorities, address program resource needs, and the value proposition of program and can articulate clearly how it contributes to driving technology in the firm; and,

  • Maintaining effective relationships and channels of communication with business sponsors and IT leadership including collaborating with senior level staff/partners in other departments and lines of service throughout the firm or network.

Minimum years experience required

  • 8 year(s) of relevant experience in progressive roles leading IT project management and strategy development.
