Role and Responsibilities:
The Purchasing Supervisor is a member of the Food and Beverage Department and is under the direction of and responsible to the Purchasing Manager. The key responsibilities of this role is to check the work of the Good Receiving Porter as well as assisting the Purchasing Manager in his role.
This includes:
Looking after MC Micros – keeping the software updated with last prices and articles number.
Make sure merchandise entering the hotel must be supported by proper documentation (purchase order, market list, etc).
Examine the quality, quantity or weight and temperature.
Forward the good either to the storerooms or in the case of a direct order, to the department concerned.
To communicate to other departments that deliveries have been received.
Perform stock take and inventories as well as end of month reports for every point of storage.
To undertake the Purchasing Manager responsibilities in his absence.
- Self-motivated team player with a desire to take on responsibility and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Energetic and physically fit, enjoy hands-on physical work, and have a keen interest in warehouse logistics.
- Previous experience as a Goods Receiver, preferable in a Hotel environment;
- Knowledge in Microsoft Outlook
- Ideally have knowledge about the purchase system Oracle Materials Control;
