Contract: Permanent
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Hybrid: Office and home working. A minimum of 3 days a week working in our Head Office, Sheffield, S35 2PW. Employees are able to utilise our office facilities more should they wish to. This can vary depending upon work requirements. We offer free onsite parking.

Here's what you can expect to be doing…
You will lead the team of Buyers / Inventory Planners and have direct responsibility for all Inventory Purchasing related activities. The role has a key focus on supporting the Medical Services (Homecare) channel with third-party product supply.
With direct people management responsibility, you will help to drive and enhance existing team knowledge, performance and experience, with a focus on innovation, system development, engagement and information share.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- To achieve customer services and inventory targets using ‘best practice’ supply chain processes and systems, and to actively contribute to, and be involved in all aspects of the sourcing and ordering of goods and services.
- Contribute with strong communication and relationships throughout all aspects of the role, including within Supply Chain, Business S&M Channels and at Group level.
- Adopt a continuous improvement mindset with a specific focus on driving efficiencies, improving the processes, and working relationships between Inventory Purchasing, Customer Care and Logistics.
- Initiate and lead key projects within the Purchasing Department and throughout the wider Supply Chain, giving professional and timely updates to the Inventory & Purchasing Manager and the Supply Chain Senior Management Team.
- Represent the department throughout the business with all levels of stakeholders.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Proven leadership and management skills, including coaching, mentoring, and motivating a medium sized team.
- Ability to write business plans and proposals with supporting evidence.
- Experience in logistics and capacity planning.
- Competent in all areas of product forecasting, demand planning and inventory control principles.
- Proven problem-solving abilities.
- Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Accurate and methodical with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise a large deadline driven workload.
- Team focused but with the ability to work on own initiative with a limited degree of supervision
