We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales Assistant to join our Garden Centre team within Sterling Furniture, Tillicoultry.
We are looking for a well-rounded and commercial retail salesperson who is proactive in their approach and can work using their own initiative. It is essential that you are a creative individual with a flair for trends and have the ability to ensure the store is presented and merchandised in a dynamic and inviting style. The ideal candidate will have previous retail experience, however full training will be provided. Full Time, 5 over 7 days, will include weekend working.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide a high class customer service and increase company growth and revenue through sales
- Process sales and provide customer assistance
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
- Maintain a fully stocked store
- Identify customer needs and sell an array of products for the home
- Restocking, pricing and merchandising
- Listen to customers and their needs, and feedback to your Department Manager
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Work in conjunction with the Department Manager and deputise as appropriate
- An experienced retailer with good customer service skills
- Visual Merchandising with a creative approach
- Deal effectively with customers and colleagues
- Able to demonstrate good commercial awareness
- Confident communicator with excellent organisational and problem solving skills
- An interest in horticulture/gardening
- Standard Educational Grades
- Experience of working in a Retail environment is essential
- Experience of working in a Garden Centre environment is desirable - however full comprehensive training will be provided
