Purchasing Administrator
Reporting to the Director of Procurement, the Purchasing Administrator will be responsible to assist and support the purchasing department functions. Support in the maintenance of information daily in the Visual manufacturing database to support production schedules, service levels. Assist in KPI tracking and administration.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Set up Visual from Kick Off forms with pricing and planning info
- Quote file updates and pricing maintenance
- Monitor container shipments from China and update Visual to ensure accurate dates
- Monthly update MMPG board with core values, R&D report, KPI and other reports
- Analyze various KPI spread sheets and consolidate information into reports/graphs for executive team.
- Create, issue, confirm and monitor purchase orders for marketing & advertising materials
- Verify and maintain part maintenance in Visual on an ongoing bases.
- Adjust safety stock data with guidance provided by Material Planners.
- Manage contact maintenance in Visual
- Back up support for MRO buyer
Education and Experience:
- Must have High School Diploma. College Diploma or University Degree is preferred
- Minimum one (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience required, buying experience is considered an asset
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook), experience with MRP or ERP system is preferred
- Analytical, excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, problems solver, able to work under pressure, self-discipline, work with little supervision, team player, and multi-task
