The Role
This position is a management trainee role with the view to you becoming one of our Centre Directors. We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic, and dynamic individual that possesses strong communication skills and enjoys working around children. At Mathnasium we love maths, and we love to help our students to master maths.
As an assistant centre manager, you will support our centre manager to develop the business as well as ensure a high quality of education for students attending the learning centre. You will be working with a team that is passionate and driven to have an impact on the lives of students and our local community.
This role is a pathway, along which you will learn everything about running a Mathnasium centre and building skills that enable you to become a Centre Manager in the future.
You will be working in an educational centre and therefore you will need to enjoy working around children. Our learning centre has a vibrant energetic air that you will help maintain.
First and foremost, we are looking for someone that is commercially minded, driven, and an excellent communicator.
Responsibilities
- Generate leads with local marketing and local campaigns
- Achieve branch growth through efficient sales
- Build a network in the local community and create opportunities through relationships with schools, businesses, and parents
- Champion customer service, communicate student progress regularly and confidently with the result of superior student retention
- Assign curriculum by appropriately assessing students and using Mathnasium systems to monitor and diagnose gaps in their learning
- Oversee staff training and continued professional development
- Maintain accurate data for reporting and analysis purposes
- Manage payroll expenditure and centre costs with the goal of profitability and business success in mind
- Report to the Centre Manager on a regular basis
- Build train and develop a high performing team

Qualifications and experience
- Degree holders preferred but those with sales and business development experience will be considered.
- At least a GCSE in maths
- At least 1-2 years of experience working in a professional environment

Part-time hours: 38 per week
