Hours are flexible either 8.30am to 4.30pm or 9.30 to 5.30pm
Pay rate £11.30 to £12.50 per hour depending on experience
The role reports to: Purchase Ledger Lead and Finance Manager
The Purchase Ledger Assistant will join the team of 7, including 1 other Purchase Ledger
Assistant with whom responsibilities are shared. You will be part of a dynamic and busy finance team who
directly support the business from the founders to the global support teams and as such this role requires good
communication skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Answering phone calls
- Process all invoices monthly (circa 500)
- Reconciling statements, ensuring good housekeeping of accounts.
- Maintain our paperless office system “Therefore” pushing invoices out for authorisation and dealing
with any queries in a timely manner.
- Monitor Aged reports
- Support purchase ledger function where required.
- Create payment runs and ad-hoc payments, posting payments to the AP ledgers once payments have been approved on the bank.
- Manage email in-boxes to ensure that invoices, statement’s and queries are dealt with in a
timely manner.
Required Experience/ Knowledge/ Skills
- Culturally, someone who is interested in their ethics as a company.
- Attention to detail, flexible and friendly.
- Someone studying towards finance qualifications (desirable but not essential)
- Hands-on and enthusiastic, great communication skills and a ‘can do’ attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
